2018 Golf Outing Review

August 22, 2018

The 12th Annual ASDA Charity Golf Outing at Birdsfoot Golf Club was a major success this year.! The charity to which the outing benefitted was Beverly’s Birthdays, a local charity that throws birthday parties for children of Pittsburgh affected by homelessness.  Students, alumni, and faculty came together for a fun day on the green for a great cause.  We were also joined by members of the charity’s board of directors. The winning team this year was a mixture of students and alumni dentists who met the day of the event.  Each individual on the winning team walked away with a whitening kit & personalized tournament champion golf balls. Prizes were also given to the best dressed team and to individuals who won hole competitions such as longest putt and shortest drive! The day ended with raffle prizes from various local businesses who chose to support our event with prize donations like gift cards, clothing, and souvenirs. The planning committee was very pleased with how the day turned out and we are so grateful for the amount of student, faculty, and alumni support. We are so proud to represent a school that seeks to make a difference in the community & were overwhelmed by the support from businesses and individuals from outside our school who also contributed to the event’s success. From the proceeds of this event, ASDA was able to donate $1,500 to Beverly’s Birthdays.  We are so excited to continue to foster a relationship with the charity in the future by volunteering our time and efforts for their cause.  We want to thank everyone who participated for playing a role in the success of the outing and we hope to see you again next year!
